Philanthropy is the desire to help humanity.

Since 2000, tax-deductible donations to RRCNA have totaled:

• More than $582,000 from more than 4,300 individual members and friends

• 13 corporations and foundations together have given gifts that total more than $1,400,000

These gifts have funded 295 scholarships that helped to:

• train 106 Reading Recovery teacher leaders in 33 states and 2 Canadian provinces
• provide materials and professional development for 189 Reading Recovery professionals who then shared the literacy "best practices" they learned with their colleagues.
   

Your gifts also help fund:

• advocacy initiatives at the federal level to influence education policy and sustain funding for Reading Recovery,
• professional development materials, books and learning tools to use with students,
• electronic and print resources.

What is the impact of this generosity?

Hundreds of thousands of struggling first-graders have become independent readers and writers and can learn to be successful in school and life.
